ACQUITY UPLC H-Class PLUS Bio and ACQUITY Arc Bio Systems End-of-Life Notification
Dear valued customer,
Since the inception of the ACQUITY UPLC H-Class Bio System in 2010 and the ACQUITY Arc Bio System in 2017, we’ve grown and improved our product portfolio for UPLC and UHPLC separations considerably, fueled by constant innovation to meet your diverse and changing needs. As we continue to focus on bringing new technologies to the market, we are initiating the End-Of-Life process for Waters ACQUITY UPLC H-Class PLUS Bio and ACQUITY Arc Bio Systems.* This simply means that, while we will continue supporting these systems into the foreseeable future, we will work through the remaining inventory of these systems and take orders for them up to June 30, 2022 after which date we will begin offering newer models of both systems.
Your Waters Instrument Specialist is prepared to discuss the best replacement options and strategy for your laboratory. To replace the ACQUITY UPLC H-Class PLUS Bio System, we offer the ACQUITY Premier System, a new, state-of-the-art UPLC system which equals or betters the performance of the ACQUITY UPLC H-Class PLUS Bio System. It is also 100% based on the same trusted ACQUITY UPLC technology. The ACQUITY Arc Bio System is being replaced by the Arc Premier System, which equals or betters the performance of the ACQUITY Arc Bio System. Both the ACQUITY Premier and Arc Premier Systems are next-generation instruments that combine trusted ACQUITY technology with our novel MaxPeak High Performance Surface (HPS) Technology, which minimizes metal-analyte interactions and offers improved analyte recovery, sensitivity, and reproducibility when analyzing metal-sensitive compounds.
This letter is intended to formally notify you of our decision to initiate our End-Of-Life process for the ACQUITY UPLC H-Class PLUS Bio and Arc Bio Systems and communicate important dates. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may pose. To facilitate your transition, tools and resources are available at www.waters.com. Additionally, the FlexUP Technology Renewal Program will be available to your laboratory if your ACQUITY UPLC H-Class PLUS Bio System is greater than seven years old. Through this program, your laboratory can realize significant savings on the trade-in of your existing ACQUITY UPLC H-Class PLUS Bio System for either an ACQUITY Premier System or any other Waters LC System.
Please note that all ACQUITY UPLC H-Class PLUS Bio and Arc Bio Systems sold between now and June 30, 2022 will still receive our standard product warranty. We intend to maintain availability of our current services and provide technical support for ACQUITY UPLC H-Class PLUS and Arc Bio Systems for seven years from the last date of manufacturing, which is expected to be no later than September 30, 2022. It is anticipated that ACQUITY UPLC H-Class PLUS Bio and Arc Bio Systems will move to Limited Support effective September 30, 2029. A further short period of Limited Support, where all services may not be available, will follow before the product is Obsolete from a support perspective, at which point services and technical support will generally not be available.
