ACQUITY UPLC System End-of-Life Notification

Thank you for choosing Waters as your Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC) solution provider.

We have continually pioneered chromatography, mass spectrometry, and thermal analysis innovations, pursuing every opportunity to Deliver Benefit™ to our customers, employees, shareholders, and society.

Since the inception of ACQUITY UPLC in 2004, our portfolio for UPLC and UHPLC separations has grown considerably, fueled by constant innovation to meet the diverse and changing needs of our customers. As we continue to focus on bringing new technologies to the market, we recently initiated an end-of-life process for Waters' first UPLC system - the ACQUITY UPLC System (aka ACQUITY Classic). At this time we have sold out all the remaining stock and no new orders can be placed.

Please note that all ACQUITY UPLC Systems sold by March 31, 2021 will be fully warranted. We will provide full service and support for seven years to our current customers from last date of manufacturing. ACQUITY UPLC systems will move to Limited Support effective July 1, 2028.

ACQUITY UPLC IVD System

From March 31, 2022 we will cease manufacturing the ACQUITY UPLC IVD System with immediate effect. Any order placed after this time will be on a first-come, first-served basis (depending on stock availability). All systems sold between now and March 31, 2022 will receive full product warranty. We intend to maintain availability of our full technical and service support for ACQUITY UPLC IVD Systems for seven years from the last date of manufacturing. It is anticipated that ACQUITY UPLC IVD Systems will move to Limited Support effective June 30, 2029. Replacement options for your lab

Please contact your Waters Instrument Specialist to discuss the best replacement options and strategy for your laboratory. We recommend exploring the ACQUITY UPLC I-Class PLUS with Fixed Loop Injection System, which offers the most equivalent performance to the ACQUITY UPLC System. Additionally, the FlexUP Technology Renewal Program will be available to your laboratory if your ACQUITY UPLC System is greater than seven years old. Through this program, your laboratory can realize significant savings on the trade-in of your existing ACQUITY UPLC System for another Waters LC system.
