Host Cell Proteins (HCPs)

2D-UPLC and Ion Mobility MS for HPCs

Residual host cell proteins (HCPs) are ppm-level contaminants in biotherapeutics that may elicit an unpredictable immune response in patients and need to be monitored as part of regulatory guidelines. Data-independent analysis with 2D chromatography has been used to measure HCPs over five orders of magnitude in concentration. The need for multiple fractions in 2D chromatography must be balanced by the analysis time for each sample.
