BioResolve SCX mAb Consumables

Charge variant profiling is one of several techniques performed to assess the efficacy and safety of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies. To address this need, Waters developed BioResolve SCX mAb, 3 μm, corrosion–resistant columns which contain non-porous, polymer-based particles grafted with a rigorously-optimized, multi-component network of negatively charged sulfonic acid ligands. This innovative column technology delivers reproducible, high-resolution, charge-based separations of mAbs and other proteins in LC and LC-MS applications using robust salt or pH gradient methods.

mAb Charge Variant Standard

This standard is specifically designed to help benchmark charge variant chromatography when using the BioResolve SCX mAb Columns. It contains a unique mix of intact proteins relevant to biopharmaceutical customers: trytophan, conalbumin, and the NIST RM 8671 (NISTmAb).

Protein-Pak Hi Res IEX Columns were developed to characterize recombinant proteins, monoclonal antibodies, and other biological compounds. Their non-porous, high compound binding capacity yields outstanding resolution of charged species in less time than traditional porous IEX offerings.

Protein-Pak HR Ion-Exchange Glass Columns

Protein-Pak HR Ion-Exchange Glass Columns are packed with rigid, polymethacrylate particles with large 1000 Å pores. The naturally hydrophilic polymer reduces non-specific adsorption, resulting in quantitative recovery of proteins while maintaining bioactivity. The Protein-Pak HR material is stable at pH values from 2-12 and withstands exposure to caustic solutions.

BioSuite Ion-Exchange HPLC Columns

Cation and anion-exchange columns (polymethacrylate based)

BioSuite Ion-Exchange (IEX) Columns include four separation chemistries -- SP strong and CM weak cation-exchangers, and Q strong and DEAE weak anion-exchangers -- bonded to a pH stable (pH 2–12), methacrylic ester-based polymeric resin. This broad choice of separation chemistries provides chromatographers with the flexibility to develop methods that separate proteins or peptides based on subtle charge differences. Selected BioSuite IEX Columns are also offered with PEEK hardware as well as in 21.5 mm I.D. for lab-scale preparative applications.

Advanced Purification Glass Columns

Waters Advanced Purification (AP) Glass Columns are constructed of biocompatible glass and polymeric materials for use with silica, polymer, or soft gel packings. 

Each column incorporates a distributor to optimize flow and ensure uniform sample distribution onto the packed bed. A replaceable filter protects the packing from large particulate contaminants. 

Available in a variety of sizes, AP Glass Columns use the same design to ensure predictable methods transfer among them. These columns are compatible with analytical and preparative LC instrumentation.
